The 8-Day Bathroom Remodeling Process

Even though each bathroom project is unique, the average bathroom remodel can be done in 8 days:

DAY 1 - DEMO:  Remove towel & TP holders, toilet, mirror, vanity, medicine cabinet, shower doors (if applicable), shower walls, bath tub/shower pan, and existing floor.

DAY 2 - PLUMBING:  Install ½” backer board on floor, change shower controls, install new bath tub/shower pan, and replace all shut off valves.  

DAY 3 - ELECTRICAL & CARPENTRY:  Replace fan, outlets, switches, and light fixture. Install ½” backer board on shower walls.  Frame new medicine cabinet and shower niche.  Repair drywall as necessary throughout.

DAY 4 - TILING:  Tile the shower pan (if applicable) and floor.

DAY 5 - TILING:  Tile all shower walls and baseboard.

DAY 6 - GROUT:  Grout all tiled areas.

DAY 7 - PAINT:  Paint ceilings and walls.  Seal all tile and grout.  Install vanity.

DAY 8 - INSTALLATION:  Install new toilet, medicine cabinet(s), mirror(s), towel & TP holder(s), and shower door (if applicable).
